I am often asked where I get this piece of baking equipment or that one. I have done a few posts on singular items but no posts on an inclusive list of baking equipment I use or want to use. ๐Ÿ™‚

Kneading Conference West

I was lucky enough to attend the first annual Kneading Conference West in Mt. Vernon Wa at the WSU extension center. The conference lasted three wonderful days, Sept 15 – 17 ย 2011. There was so much to see and do that it was hard to pick which classes to attend. ย The food served was really good and the people were just my kind of people.. obsessed with bread.

The Southernmost Bakery in the USA

I made another trip around the southern point of the big island in Hawaii this last weekend. I made it a point to stop at the Punalu’u Bakeshop in Na’alehu. This was recommended to me by my big brother who visited the island last year before I came. He said that this bakery made the best coconut turnovers he had ever tasted.
